FAQ
Questions and answers
What does EN 1090 with EXC3 mean?
EN 1090 is the European standard for the fabrication of load-bearing steel components. It defines four execution classes, EXC1 to EXC4. With each class, the requirements for staff qualifications, equipment and factory production control increase. We are certified up to EXC3, which allows us to fabricate components with demanding requirements.
What is factory production control (FPC)?
FPC is the system a fabricator uses to continuously monitor and document production, from material inspection to the finished component. It is a requirement for EN 1090 certification. Our FPC is in place.
How large can components be?
Our shop fabricates components up to 22 m (72 ft) long and up to 5 metric tons (11,000 lb) per welded part.
